5/4/2011 My Favourite Business Person (Kar) Good evening Sir / Madam The topic I am going to talk about is my favourite business person, Li Ka Shing who is a property developer. He is ambitious, hardworking and accommodating, and has achieved remarkable success in his work especially on property development items. However, Li ran a factory where produced plastic products during early1950s. As a riot in 1967, it caused plenty of house owners to sell their flats or houses in a low rate for leaving Hong Kong since they thought that there was not a safe place to live with others peacefully. Nevertheless, Li did not think so and bought many flats inexpensive then. Finally, he sold them at a high price. Earning money more and more, he changed his mind on business since then. A magazine called Asiaweek figured out Li is the richest man in Hong Kong and is the eleventh richest person in the world on 11 March 2011. Being 82 years old, he still goes on duty continuously. On the other hand, He is generous to donate a lot of money supporting many organizations, charities, universities, and some educational funds, and so on. Moreover, He established the Li Ka Shing Foundation (LKSF) in 1980 to assist the person in need. In my opinion, Li is smart, considerate as well as creative. He is helpful to care for the underprivileged pupils. Therefore, having better education, the poor students may have shining future. If there are many rich people, whether who is an employer or not, to give a helping hand to the needy children. It is good for society. This is my presentation. Thank you.
