Princess Diana

(kar) Diana, Princess of Wales (1961-1997) was quite beautiful, kind and accommodating. She led a remarkable life. Also, she was popular with persons all over the world. Everywhere Diana went, she was adored by crowds of people eager to see her.

Princess Diana had a fairytale romance with Prince Charles and married him in 1981. Next year, she gave birth to a baby boy: Prince William, who is the heir and will be a future king of England. In 1984, she gave birth to a second son: Prince Harry. Her family seemed complete and happy, and she was even the luckiest woman on the world.

However, in fact, she felt angry and lonely since her husband’s lack of attention after a couple of years of their marriage. On the other hand, she was less delighted with the rigid rules of the Royal Family so she began to revolt against them to show how she was quite unhappy.

In 1992, the Prince and Princess of Wales had agreed to separate and four years later they divorced. Princess Diana had done a lot of works to help many charities and supported more than 100 of them before her marriage ended. She was very concerned for the homeless, disabled people, children and people with AIDS.

Although she and Prince Charles divorced, people around the world continued to be fascinated by her. Photographers often followed her and her boyfriend, Dodi Fayed, everywhere. They even chased the pair with motorcycles to hope getting a photo of the latter. Photographers were quite dangerous to do so since a good photo of the pair could be sold to magazines and newspapers for up to US$1,000,000.

Unfortunately, on 31 Aug 1997, at just 36 years of age, Diana died in a traffic accident since her chauffeur had tried to escape the photographers by driving very fast, the car went out of control and crashed when it was travelling through a tunnel in Paris, France.
